Iris worldwide: A dynamic space ‘for the forward’

Collaboration is the name of the game, and when creative innovation agency Iris Worldwide approached us, they wanted a branded hub for their people, partners and clients. And, that's where we came in, we accelerated their thinking in what a workspace should be and created an environment where they could spark ideas, showcase their award-winning campaigns, increase collisions between their people and transform the way they interact and host their friends.

Spread across one open floor, they are now truly an integrated agency. We’ve kept the space as open as possible, with minimal partitions for maximum visibility. The result is a completely collaborative and dynamic space with an infectious buzz that hits you the minute you step through the door.

The workspace is not only home to the Iris team, it is now fluid, a modern day co-working space available for their colleagues, clients and partners alike. We’ve completely broken down the barriers, giving them full access and visibility into the inner workings of the business and allowing them to absorb the energy of the space and the agency.

Everyone is highly agile, we’ve shifted the focus away from the desk, and instead given them a variety of spaces - from creative dens to quiet nooks - to support all types of work and mood. All strategically positioned to encourage movement and chance interactions. 

Let's talk about the creative dens, small bookable incubators where ideas are born. When getting to know Iris, we soon came to understand the previous lack of ‘safe’ space for creativity, where people could spend hours, days, weeks or months tucked away to conceive, develop and refine ideas. The creative dens are a key component to how they now work. We used a proprietary product as a base for our furniture hack, overcladding it to suit Iris’s style and functional needs, with writable walls and acoustic linings, all furnished with different types of relaxed furniture.

The user journeys have been carefully crafted from the moment they step through the door, with the shared spaces and social areas positioned to take full advantage of the panoramic views across the Thames. Exposed features create an industrial feel, perfectly balanced with bespoke joinery and soft furnishings, creating a boutique, high-end and comfortable environment.
