As the UK and Europe’s leading commercial radio broadcaster and largest magazine publisher, Bauer Media is home to much-loved brands including Absolute Radio, Grazia, heat, KISS, and TV Choice. Taking over two floors within the striking new development, The Lantern, their workspace brings together its audio, publishing and commercial businesses into one central site for the very first time, lighting the way for even greater creativity and collaboration.

Born from the idea that everyone has their moment to shine, we wanted to create a workspace experience that celebrates the art of performing. Whether you're a presenter, copywriter, or in an administrative role, we set out to craft a series of spaces that allow everyone to find their ‘onstage’ moment – platforms for people to demonstrate their passion and excellence in their expert fields. Our workspace offers a variety of settings and spaces that cater to different types of work, distinguishing between on-stage and off-stage moments.

On-stage moments are represented by vibrant and colourful interventions, creating a welcoming and collaborative atmosphere for presentations, collaboration, meetings, and performances. Throughout these spaces, bursts of tonal brand colours and materials reflect the energy and activity that takes place. These spaces included a small performance auditorium, AV Suite as well as 17 individual radio broadcasting rooms with specific acoustic and lighting requirements.

Off-stage moments, on the other hand, are the spaces in between; desking, support spaces and circulation routes including a new central staircase, which are intentionally neutral and minimal by design and provide a blank canvas for the individual brands to pop through the use of digital signage.
